Hello readers,
My name is Melissa and I am a beginner blogger but mostly a beginner teacher that is about to graduate from my local university. I am extremely nervous but anxious to begin, however I have so many concerns and questions that I hope you can help me and in return I can help you with any teacher or college related.
So where to begin? Well I think a good place to start is my college history. I began college; I should really say a technical school August of 2007 at Everest Institute, I majored in medical assisting and what a complete waste, I don't want to offend anyone who is in this profession, but I felt I was lied and manipulate into the program. After I graduated I got a job at infectious disease office which was experience I will never forget. However, the doctors I worked for were extremely hard to please (there were 7 doctors in one tiny office). Any who, this frustration brought me the courage to start college at my local community college. I did one year of pre request and then the following year (2009) I started taking regular classes. Well it wasn't till 2011 (april I should say) where I decided nursing nor the medical field was right for me, so that is when I took a big leap of fate and change my major 1 month before I was declared for graduation. I got accepted into 2 universities UCF and FIU but I decided to stay home and attend school at FIU.
I have been at FIU for almost 2 years and I am pleased to say I have learned a lot but I feel that I didn't have to put as much effort into my degree like I think I would have in the nursing program. However, my support team thinks that education is a topic that I am interested in to where learning is effortlessly and obtaining it is magical. I love modern education but mixed with old values.
I love technology but I do agree that it does not replace the teacher however, an effective teacher can use assistant materials to create many teaching strategies. To the old values, I think I hope to get viewers who can communicate with me on their personal experience on Home Schooling and County classroom schooling.
